How Many Gallons Of Paint

The amount of paint needed for each room/area will depend on the size of the room/area, the color that is on the surface, and the color that will be used, also, it will depend on the kind of paint you use. Below you will find more information for each area/room.

Interior Paint Quantity

Bedroom

A regular-sized bedroom of approx. 350 sq ft will usually require two gallons of paint for the walls, one gallon for the ceiling, and one gallon for the trims and doors. If the color on the walls is dark and the color to be used is light, using a primer first as a base coat will provide better coverage. If primer is needed, two gallons will be needed. (The number of gallons estimated here will be enough to apply up to two coats).

Bathroom

A regular-sized bathroom of approx. 200 sq ft will usually require one gallon of paint for the walls, one gallon for the ceiling, and one gallon for the trims and doors.
